Taxes
Empires are expensive, and we should not have one.  Cutting back our spending overseas, and bringing our troops home will give us much more money to spend here at home, not to mention the lives of Americans, Iraqis, and everyone else involved.

There is a rather extreme statement: "Taxation is theft."  Although we do need to fund a government from whose existence we can benefit, the current method is antithetical to Liberty.  In the US tax code, income is never defined as wages, but as profit gained from corporate activity (also, from the sale of tobacco, alcohol, firearms, and overseas-business).  This must be addressed.

Secondly, on a tax form, one is effectively required to testify against one's-self.  This is contrary to the 5th Amendment.  The tax code must be re-hauled and simplified.  I support disbanding the IRS, and eliminating the Federal Income tax.

I would also work to see property taxes lowered, and the death tax/inheritance eliminated.

I do not support the Fair Tax plan, which would add a Federal 23% sales tax to the purchase of all goods and services and would not reduce the tax burden of the individual.

We should also abolish the Food Tax when we are able.

I would like to see a Constitutional review of the State Code, and address any issues which arise as a conflict between our laws and the US and WV Constitutions. These are the law of the land, and anything not in accordance with that must be repealed.
The Federal Income Tax

In the Income Tax laws, it is never clear as to who gains income. In other sections of the law, income means profit gained from corporate activity, not wages. It is clear that 'tax payers' are required to pay taxes, but it may well be that most of us are not 'tax payers' in the legal sense.

The Supreme Court ruled in the Stanton Decision that the 16th Amendment gave the government "no new powers of taxation" and before this, there was no Federal income tax on hourly wages, thus: there cannot be a lawful one now.

We can not lower taxes without cutting spending, and cut spending we must!

The first major step will be to have the US Congress take back its responsibility which they illegally transferred to a privately owned Bank: The Federal Reserve; which is no more federal than Federal Express and has no reserves. We must End the Fed. Doing so will allow us to take back out economic liberty.
