The proposed Smoking Ban in Mon County is an assault on liberty.  It violates the choices of adults to take part in a legal (and heavily taxed) activity.  It violates the rights of property owners to permit or deny which legal activities will take place on their property.  This is a major problem.  I am not a smoker.  Yet this seems to me to be a symptom of a far more destructive force.  This is just one more piece of evidence of our eroding liberty, and we must fight that on every front; including this one.

    The reason that this Ban should be fought tooth and nail is not over cigarettes, but over Liberty.  All of our rights are based on Property Rights (the right to own your body/life, etc.).  This ban proposes to say the State knows better than the owner of what to do with two kinds of property, real property, and one's body.  I will not support any Ban such as this.
